The Trouble with School is that They Try to Teach the Wrong Lesson...

...Believe me, I've been kicked out
Of enough of them to know
They want you to be less callow
Less shallow
But I say: Why invite stress in?
Stop studying strife
And learn the unexamined life

Dancing through life
Skimming the surface
Gliding where turf is smooth
Life's more painless
For the brainless
Why think too hard?
When it's so soothing
Dancing through life
No need to tough it
When you can sluff it off as I do
Nothing matters
But  knowing nothing matters
It's just life
So keep dancing through...
-Wicked: Dancing Through Life

School is important since it pretty much decides your future, but it shouldn't be the most important thing that is on your mind. As a student of whatever level of education you are at, you should know that school shouldn't always come first despite what your father told you when you were 8. So you got a B when you were striving for an A; don't stress about it. There is no use in worrying over something that has already happened. Study a little more next time or don't procrastinate as much, but until that next assignment comes I suggest that you take your mind off of school and relax. Do something fun and entertaining, life isn't all about work. It's a balance between knowing when to sit down and be serious and going out to the movies with some friends.

There is no need to be grade anal either; I know first hand that it's not worth the stress that comes with it. I'm still worrisome about my grades, but nearly as much as I was when I started high school. Sadly, some of my friends still haven't learned that grades aren't the most important things in life. I'm not talking about people who wanted a 95 but got an 80 and are upset; I'm talking about those types of people that wanted a 100 and got a 97 and are upset. There is no use crying over a few points and it won't ruin your GPA or class rank.

When it comes to school, put yourself first. If your brain is fried from the week, spend the weekend having fun. I'm not saying you should procrastinate until the day before, but you don't have to work 24/7.
